Ride Forward is designed to solve transportation barriers for KBP employees who do not have reliable access to a vehicle by providing bicycles as a dependable way to commute to work and navigate their communities.
-
Ride Forward operates through an Area Coach nomination process. Area Coaches submit a nomination for employees who are experiencing transportation challenges that actively limit their ability to get to work or maintain consistent hours.
This program is not intended as a reward or recognition initiative. Nominations should be based on demonstrated transportation barriers and how providing a bike would directly help solve a work-related access issue.
-
Ride Forward is available to employees who meet the following requirements:
Must be employed at least 90 days and have worked 130 hours
Bikes are provided to address active transportation barriers that impact employment and access to their community
This includes situations where lack of transportation limits an employee’s ability to work scheduled shifts, maintain consistent attendance, or commute safely to and from work.
-
Ride Forward nominations are submitted by Area Coaches and Supervisors.
To begin the process, contact the KBP Cares team to request the nomination link.
This application is not publicly available and is provided directly to leadership to ensure appropriate use of the program.
-
To ensure timely fulfillment and proper follow-up, Area Coaches may submit one Ride Forward nomination at a time
Once a bike has been delivered and the required follow-up has been completed, a new nomination may be submitted.
