• Ride Forward is designed to solve transportation barriers for KBP employees who do not have reliable access to a vehicle by providing bicycles as a dependable way to commute to work and navigate their communities.

  • Ride Forward operates through an Area Coach nomination process. Area Coaches submit a nomination for employees who are experiencing transportation challenges that actively limit their ability to get to work or maintain consistent hours.

This program is not intended as a reward or recognition initiative. Nominations should be based on demonstrated transportation barriers and how providing a bike would directly help solve a work-related access issue.

  • Ride Forward is available to employees who meet the following requirements:

    • Must be employed at least 90 days and have worked 130 hours

    • Bikes are provided to address active transportation barriers that impact employment and access to their community

    • This includes situations where lack of transportation limits an employee’s ability to work scheduled shifts, maintain consistent attendance, or commute safely to and from work.

    • Ride Forward nominations are submitted by Area Coaches and Supervisors.

    • To begin the process, contact the KBP Cares team to request the nomination link.

    • This application is not publicly available and is provided directly to leadership to ensure appropriate use of the program.

    • To ensure timely fulfillment and proper follow-up, Area Coaches may submit one Ride Forward nomination at a time

    • Once a bike has been delivered and the required follow-up has been completed, a new nomination may be submitted.
